Environmentally-friendly Baby Clothes for Preemies & Newborns in NICU
Nina Ignatius— “parents and hospital registered nurses (RNs), already using Beibamboo clothing—find a particular reassurance knowing that NOT ONE SINGLE tube, IV, or wire need to be detached in the process.”
Environmentally-friendly Baby Clothes
When you think of “environmental friendliness,” what comes to mind? Sustainability…reducing the carbon footprint…going-green, or just simply, eco-friendly. No matter how you perceive, or even embrace, “environmental friendliness,” it’s something many of us hope will preserve the Earth for future generations. So, when it came time to designing environmentally-friendly baby clothes, Nina Ignatius embraced and embodied that idea into every single piece of BEIBAMBOO clothing for preemies, newborns, and toddlers. Along with Nina, Beibamboo’s team and strategy, are redefining perceptions by designing environmentally-friendly baby clothes with preemies in mind.
Beibamboo designs began after the birth of Nina’s daughter, who as born two months too early. Like so many parents, Nina wanted her daughter, and all preemies, to feel comforted by silky-soft material. Furthermore, Beibamboo’s environmentally-friendly baby clothes include planned imperatives, often not found in other baby clothing designs. Beibamboo designs meant that very few seams could make contact with her daughter’s delicate skin and no vital IVs, monitoring wires, or tubes needed to be removed in order to dress her daughter. To achieve this, Nina partnered with NICUs to develop the world’s first clothing for preemies still in NICU!
Environmentally-friendly Baby Clothes Meet the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEXs
Well, all Beibamboo manufacturing materials were “independently tested and certified” to meet the comprehensive and strict catalog measures of OEKO-TEX. This means, Beibamboo designs are free of, and free from exposure to, “several hundred regulated individual substances and numerous harmful chemicals…not yet legally regulated.” Making Beibamboo clothes “absolutely free of toxins, pesticides, and heavy metals.” Giving Beibamboo the OEKO-TEX Product Class 1 rating “for babies and toddlers up to 3 years old.”
Being environmentally conscious, Nina’s final decision on a 50/50 blend of organic cotton and viscose bamboo further guarantees the environmental friendliness Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®. With all this in mind, Beibamboo is an award-winning preemie and baby clothing design with a meaningful purpose.
